goo!

I misplaced my license back in April and didn't have time to wait to find it because I needed ID for my new job ASAP. So I paid the $4 and got a new one. They asked "Do you want to keep your old picture or would you like to get a new one?"

Since I look 12 (it's the braces) in my old one and had actually gone through the effort of doing my hair that day I decided, why not? Gimme a new picture! :)

And it was a pretty cute picture, if I do say so myself.

Then in June I needed to get a license with my new married last name on it. So I waited at the DMV for 2 hours, paid the $4 and got a new one. I told them I'd just like to keep the old picture this time. But no. "If you change your name you are required to take a new picture." Which is why I now look like...

a convicted felon on my drivers licence.

Awwww....I can commiserate with you. Truthfully, you don't look like a felon on the new one, you just looked so gorgeous in the first one. And, it must be the facial expression on the second one because I totally see the resemblance between you and Brenna! (no offense to Brenna, because like I said, I don't think it's an awful picture).

I just had to look at the post again. I LOVE that smirk on your face. It's like, "Really? Are you really doing this to me?"

Hahahahahaha. This will never get old. I cannot tell you how many people I forwarded this picture text to.

Ah, good times... (for me) ;)

Ps - Like Aubrey said, you're beautiful in both.
But you're e'SPECIAL'ly beautiful in the second. :)

Ha, ha, ha, ha!! I got a new license a few years ago and called in first to see if I needed a new picture. They said no, so I went as I was. When I got there they announced that they were mistaken, and did need to take a new picture. Hence I look like a twelve year old school girl with two braid pigtails. Awesome.

ps. In Utah it costs $20 for a renewal license. Bah.

Snort. I'll be sure to keep that in mind if I ever get married.

You sure are secure with your personal information. Are there people that visit your blog that really don't know what your last name is/was?

Aubrey - That was the exact expression I was going for... but in retrospect I think I should've smiled instead. bleh.

Colton - yes. creepy ones.

lol I laughed so hard when I read this! Tooo funny! I totally relate! They did the same thing to me when I finally corrected the spelling of my last name just last week! Only one letter & they made me take a new pic! Soooo redonkulus! Casteneda to Castaneda. Lame! This post cracks me up I was not expecting the pic at the end! lol

hahaha!! DYING laughing--love it paigeyloo. I'm reminded of the time we were at the DMV and they had people go wait against the wall to prepare for their picture. Madison was with me and pointed and said, "Mom, look. He's in time-out!" =)

Bahaha That EXACT same thing happened to me! I looked like a freakin' sex bomb and then I got married and was too lazy to change my name legally for a while, then when I did, we were living in Flagstaff and I had dark, greasy, snow hair, no makeup aaand a crying baby on mah hip. Sweet.
